Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I send a message to the student listeners?
A: You first need to go to the home page by clicking on "Home" from the menu on the left, then in the box titled "Contact Your Student Listeners", click where it says "click here to start a new conversation".

Q: What is my ID Code?
A: When you start a new conversation, you will be given an ID Code for identification purposes. This is unique to you, and you will need to either remember, or write down this code, as you will need it when you want to view your reply.

Q: What do I do if I have forgotten my ID Code or password?
A: If you have forgotten your ID Code or password, then for security reasons we cannot recover it for you. If you want to contact us again, you must start another conversation, where you will be given a new ID Code.

Q: How long will it take for me to receive a reply?
A: At least one Student Listener should check for new conversations every school day. This means you should have a reply by the next school day. However, if you choose to continue a conversation rather than start a new one, it may take slightly longer.

Q: What is the difference between continuing a conversation, and starting a new one?
A: When you start a conversation, you will be given an ID Code for that conversation. This is unique to your conversation, and as long as you continue with that conversation, you will always be contacting the same person, and only they can ever read your messages. If you start a new one, then any of the Student Listeners from your school could reply to your message, and then again, only they will be able to read and reply to this new conversation with you.

Q: Will I be notified when I have a reply?
A: No. StudentListeners.com is totally anonymous, so you will not be asked for your email address or any other contact details. This means that you will need to check back after a couple days of posting.

Q: I'm not sure if my problem is important enough to speak to you about. I don't want to waste anyone's time.
A: If you are considering speaking to someone, which you probably are if you are visiting this site, then please send us a message. We are happy to hear any problem, no matter how small it may seem.
