Student Privacy
The Peer Supporters receiving your message receive no
identifiable information about you other than any information you supply, and
will not contact you in any way other than via the online, or text messaging
system that you are using. The only information that StudentListeners.com will
retain about students will be information that is essential for their care. This
includes, but is not limited to, the times that you contact us, and the computer
IP address if contacting the Student Listeners online, or mobile number if
contacting by text message (SMS). This data is stored automatically, and is not
available to the Peer Supporters that you contact, or any school using
StudentListeners.com. This information is confidential, and will not be passed
on to another person or agency unless:

We have written (including in electronic form) permission from
the Student to pass on information to another person or agency.

We receive a court order requiring us to divulge information.

The Student's, or another person's health or safety is at
risk.

Or if a Student attacks or threatens our Peer Supporters,
other Students, or a member of StudentListeners.com staff, or prevents the
service from being delivered to other Students.
If a Student, or parent or legal guardian if the Student is
under 18, wishes to see what personal data StudentListeners.com has on them,
they must put their request in writing and produce information that both
identifies them and enables the information to be found. If StudentListeners.com
is satisfied that the data refers to the person making the request and complying
does not disclose information relating to another individual, the Student,
parent, or legal guardian will be invited to view the information.
Conversations on StudentListeners.com are not monitored by
members of staff at School's using the service, and once a conversation has been
replied to by a Peer Supporter, no other Peer Supporter is able to view any
details about the conversation. However, if the Peer Supporter replying to a
conversation believes that someone may be extremely distressed, or in danger,
the conversation will be passed on from that Peer Supporter, to the member of
Staff at the Student's School who administrates the service for that School.
They are then able to view the conversation, and deal with the information
appropriately.
Student Peer Supporters and Staff Members Privacy
This policy covers how StudentListeners.com treats personal
information that StudentListeners.com collects and receives from Peer
Supporters, and Staff Members within a registered School, including information
related to your past use of StudentListeners.com products and services. This
policy does not apply to the practices of companies that StudentListeners.com
does not own or control or to people that StudentListeners.com does not employ
or manage. It also does not apply to Students who are contacting the Peer
Supporters at their School.
StudentListeners.com collects personal information when you
register with StudentListeners.com, when you use StudentListeners.com products
or services, when you visit StudentListeners.com pages or the pages of certain
StudentListeners.com partners, and when you enter promotions or sweepstakes.
StudentListeners.com may combine information about you that we have with
information we obtain from business partners or other companies.
Personal data collected via this website will only be used for
the stated purpose for which they are collected. StudentListeners.com does not
rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non
affiliated companies except to provide products or services you've requested,
unless we have your permission, or if we respond to subpoenas, court orders, or
legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against
legal claims, or if we believe it is necessary to share information in order to
investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected
fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any
person, violations of StudentListeners.com's terms of use, or as otherwise
required by law, other than to "Young Voice", Registered charity no 1078319,
who has access to all Peer Supporters' and Staff members' personal data.
StudentListeners.com automatically receives and records
information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address,
StudentListeners.com cookie information, and the pages you request.
StudentListeners.com also collects and holds data for administrative, statutory,
support and health and safety reasons and may disclose data when legally
required. StudentListeners.com may set and access StudentListeners.com cookies
on your computer
It should be noted that data relating to a Peer Supporter's or
Staff Member's name, School, resident country and county and date of birth, will
be considered public knowledge and may be published on the Internet and
internally within StudentListeners.com and by all associated persons or agencies
including, but not limited to "Young Voice".
We reserve the right to send you certain communications relating
to the StudentListeners.com service, such as service announcements, and
administrative messages, that are considered part of your StudentListeners.com
account, without offering you the opportunity to opt-out of receiving them.
You can edit your account information at any time by logging on
the StudentListeners.com with your username and password.
You can delete your StudentListeners.com account by contacting
the member of staff at your school who administrates StudentListeners.com, or by
contacting StudentListeners.com. Please note that any information that we have
copied may remain in back-up or archival storage for some period of time after
your deletion request. This may be the case even though no information about
your account remains in our active user databases.
StudentListeners.com may update this policy. We reserve the right to change this statement at any time without warning, to meet any statutory requirements or changes in the nature of our activities and services.
